Microprocessor and Assembly Language Lab
What you’ll study
Laboratory classes based on course 520215. Students are first introduced to assembly language and assemblers (NASM, TASM and/or MASM). Several experiments are performed with the assemblers — I/O operations, integer programming, string programming and graphics programming. Students are then introduced to the 8086 toolkit (MDA 8086) and work in kit mode, becoming familiar with all the components of an 8086 system and controlling peripherals such as LEDs, 7-segment and dot-matrix displays by writing machine-language code.
